How to read Italian protein/fiber amounts etc. on pkg
Can anyone tell me how to read this - it is on Italian packaging of Farro pasta.
Wondering how to read the commas and if "g" is for gram. Used the Google translator to know which is protein, fiber, etc etc. Thanks for any help. Protein g 14,00 |

I'm sure you're correct. A comma is used instead of a decimal point in many European countries, and they are all on the metric system, so g probably does mean gram.

yes g does mean gramme

My 2 cents - A comma is used instead of a decimal point in Europe and the system is metric. What you have written is protein 14 grams - hope this helps.

I don't know, but I'd think it meant 14 grams.

Our oldest Granddaughter (25) is in Italy this month - for schooling. She said the locals are not friendly and won't talk to them. She wanted to interact with them to pick up some of the language. Seems they like our money being spent and that is it. She told me yeaterday in an email that for $1,000.00 US dollars you get 700 Euros. Dollar value has dropped since she got there. She will be there May 5th to June 4th.
