It's been almost a month since I joined Weight Watchers. I had to fight off a panic-attack to walk into the building, and shook like a leaf when I had to get on the scale. I clocked in at 207.2lbs (I'm 5' 3+3/4") After my initial week of uncertainty about what/how much I could eat, things are settling into a pretty comfortable routine!

Week 1 - lost 3.8lb
Week 2 - lost 3.2lb
Week 3 - lost 0.2lb ?? This was the week of the Canada Day BBQ and family visiting from Newfoundland. I ate all my 'Extra Weekly Points' for the first time....so I guess that's why the minimal loss. The scale stuck at 200.0 lb --- Grrr!

I'm looking forward to Wed's weigh-in --- I'm certain that I've finally cracked that 200 barrier!

Quilting is a wonderful way to keep my hands busy and out of the pantry!

Not doing real good, down only about 2.5 lbs. It has always been a struggle for me to loose weight. I still have 12-20 to go and they don't want to leave.

Try adding walking to your day if you haven't already. Walk away from your house for 10 or 15 minutes, then walk back. Tyr to do that at least 5 days a week. You will be amazed what a difference it will make. I lost 50 lbs on WW.
You can do it. And it makes you feel good both physically and emotionally.

Weigh to Go!!!
Great losses .... and while you would like the -.2 to be larger, you have reflected on the week and know the reason why it was so! The good news is that you did track your way thru a very "heavy" PPV week and made it.

You brought back memories ... of my first week at WW 12 yrs ago April. I always say the hardest part is coming the first time. My first goal was to show up that day. My 2nd was to show up Week 2, then the 3rd to return Wk 3. I started losing right away, though that wasn't my goal for sometime! I had no clue what might be possible as I'd never really lost weight with any successful length of time.

I am a Canadian WW Lifetime Member and lost 120 lbs via WW. Yea for you finding quilting a great way to stay away from the food and be a "loser"!!! :)

I find that quilting is good for me too, though I tend to get my nose into the sewing and forget to drink my water. I have to work at remembering to drink drink drink. So keep it handy at the machine and keep on drinking.

Plus we don't get much activity at the machine, so as BeckyL suggested, be sure you include activity. The walking is so simple and gives great results. Another way that'll fit with the sewing would be to stop every hour and do some stretches, and/or some cardio activity right next to your machine. Will help you keep from getting the aches and pains we sometimes can get when we sew for long times and help with the weigh lost!

Keep up the great work!

The hardest part was getting on that scale for the first time. Add 30 minutes of exercise (4-5 days/week). Get your heart rate up and break a sweat. You will see a difference in your weight loss. Keep up the good work, I know you can do it.

That's wonderful news!!! Yes, you can do it! You are!!!!!!! :D:D
I find the best way to stay on track is to not have foods in the house that are my weakness. All the others pointed out some great tips too.
I drink tons of water- it's gotten to be a habit for me.
