There is one little one in the next now called 'Scout'. I have watched her build 5 nests and it is amazing the things you learn about hummers. They use spider webs to keep their nests(golf ball size)together. Their eggs are the size of a jelly bean/tic-tac.

I love to watch these little guys. We get them around the flowers on the porch. The other day there was a baby, no bigger than a quarter. My dad got it on video, it was so cute.

Even though I don't see to many of them around here I might try my feeder again and see what happens. I've saved to many birds around here from neighbor cats but I'm sure cats can't catch them little guys. :thumbup: |
