Haha - how appropriate - I have turned our dining room into my sewing room! (and I'm always warning DH to be careful when walking in there!)

Good one, thanks for sharing. :D

Many, many, many moons ago(yeah, I'm that old) when I was a teen ager, I loved to embroidery. I had the horrible habbit of sticking my needle in the couch cushion when I got up to do something else. Well, my Mom sat on one of my needles. OUCH!! I felt terrible and needless to say I never did that again. Poor Mom! I guess that's why I'm so very careful with my pins and needles to this day.

All who enter my home are warned to wear shoes in the house. Their bare feet are safer outside than they are inside.
I do sympathize with those who encounter an errant pin...and then hand them the magnetic 'wand' to sweep for more pins! |
Almost 30 years ago I came to this country from Germany to live with my Aunt and Uncle for a year as an Exchange student. One day, my cousin asked me to fix the small rip in the seam of one of his dress shirts and I obliged by sewing it closed with a hand needle...while sitting on his waterbed!!! I also had a habit to stick a needle next to me in the cushion. To my horror, my poor cousin woke up the next morning soaking wet in a leaking waterbed. I have used a pin cushion since then :o

That is funny!

ROFL! What a MAN!

When sewing binding onto my quilts I use to just lay the needle just anywhere on the quilt. I finally learned to put on something dark so I would be able to find it easier. I finally got tired of hunting for it.
