I don't know about everyone else but I love to see where people are from when I talk to them on a thread. So many people do not fill in their location field of the profile. Even if it with just your general location ie State, please do share that info with us.

i agree with you. i think peoples tastes and style of quilting is directly influenced by where you were raised and where you currently live.

not to mention its just fun to know where all our online friends are.

I agree with you KWhite, love to see where all the quilters reside. Even in there introduction they often don't tell us where they are from.

I'm with you K, it's one of the first things I look for, so please, everyone who hasn't done it, put in at least your Country. That won't compromise your privacy.

Ditto here, love knowing what state all our members are from, or Countries!

I went into my profile and couldnt figure out wich line to fill in to say where im from so i got frustrated and gave up lol im in syracuse new york there i said it ok lol

Go to your profile, scroll down and you'll see squares with nothing in them. To the left it asks the question "From" - you fill in where you are "From". You can also fill in your occupation, things you enjoy, etc.

Hi kwhite I am from Ontario Canada and just got back from a 10 day holiday in PA. We went to Philly jul3 and Lititz on Jul4 . They had a wonderful fireworks display. We also went to a arts festival in Kutztown. Great time found some quilt shops LOL and had to do some shopping.

Well of course you did. LOL Don't judge all of PA based on Philly. I live in a more rural area like Lititz or Kutztown even more rural then that. Pa is a nice state. Very beautiful.

wouldn't it be fun to be able to click on our state and have all the members to pop up.. we could get together for a fun day. The Jacksonville Quilt show would be fun to do as a group... just day dreaming..........

I really enjoy seeing where people are from also, I am working on being a better geography student. Never too old to learn. :?

I do so enjoy your input on all subjects. Where is Sleep Hallow located. I live in NJ..along the coastline about halfway through the state.

Ok, I'll play. I'm from Oregon. Like the rest of you, I like seeing where everyone is from but when I first came on the board I felt the need to have some annonymity.

Feathers go into your profile and fill in the location and it will show up on the right of all of your posts.

I'd love to see more members list their location on their profile, even if they want to be vague and just list the state or province or country. It's so interesting to see where everyone is from.

I think it's great to see where everyone is from. I'm from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, living in Maxville, Ontario, Canada, and in the past I've lived in Ithaca, New York State, USA and Reading, Berkshire, England.

I "speak" Canadian, American, and UK English, so I'll change my vocabulary (but not my spelling!) based on who I'm talking to if I know where they are from :)

.wow, how great to be so talented in languages.........I speak but one language and that's English........so if we have the opportunity to talk with each other on any quilting subject..please go the English route..I wouldn't want to miss a word.

This is important enough to be recycled I think. I still see so many profiles without locations. Even a State or Country/Region is enough. Please put something in the location part of your profile.

Thanks KWhite for starting this thread. I too wish people would put a state or country in their location. It is SO fun seeing where everyone is. AND that we are SO world wide! It's so cool that we are growing in the different countries.
