Had a guy ask me today if my shoes were "those "Shape Up" things...when I replied that they were, he informed me that they MUST be workin' because I sure had a nice shape!

IN FRONT OF MY HUSBAND!! (Who diplomatically kept quiet and didn't ROTF!!)

Haven't had anyone say anything like that in YEARS....am honestly trying to remember if anyone has EVER said anything like that!! LOL

Cyn 12-29-2010 06:03 PM

Where do you buy those shoes? I'm gonna get me some!

sewgull 12-29-2010 06:11 PM

Be back shortly. Going to buy a pair of these shoes.

Charlee 12-29-2010 06:12 PM

I got these at Burlington Coat Factory...and I had my doubts about how effective they would be, but you can feel it when you walk! They do take some getting used to!

They're made by Sketcher.

Japonica 12-29-2010 06:14 PM

Well now, I just have to go and get myself a pair!

Chasing Hawk 12-29-2010 06:14 PM

Is that how one goes about getting a Levi jeans butt? .......LOL

If so I am gonna get me a pair......LOL

kriscraft99 12-29-2010 06:16 PM

oh how funny! I thought about buying a pair to try but I was scared too.. I can just see me twisting my ankle and having to explain how I did it LOL

what an amazing compliment :) I bet you won't let your husband forget it either <grin>

DawnMarie 12-29-2010 06:23 PM

How great! A complement like that had to make your year! I know it would, mine. :) Especially in front of my husband...priceless!

mrspete 12-29-2010 06:42 PM

enjoy

amandasgramma 12-29-2010 06:47 PM

ROL!!! And the look on William's face???????????????????? Congrats!!!!!! And I think I'll get me some, too!!!

craftybear 12-29-2010 06:53 PM

Wow, now everyone on the Quilting Board site is going to go buy the shoes like we did on the blades for our rotary cutters

luvstitches 12-29-2010 06:53 PM

I have a pair of Shape Ups and I love them for walking.
My husband and I are mall walkers (because we can't walk outside now for the next four months.) I have no aches anymore with these kind of goofy looking shoes.

Ann L 12-29-2010 06:55 PM

maybe we can get a deal on so many pairs of these shoes? Think I will go get myself a pair as well.

Cybrarian 12-29-2010 07:02 PM

New Balance has come out with a style that looks like a regular shoe but has the technology built in. My son's girlfriend says they really work.

Quilter7x 12-29-2010 07:04 PM

 You go Charlee!

I'm going to have to investigate these shoes! I have a "shape", but it's got more curves than it used to. :?

CarrieAnne 12-29-2010 07:08 PM

LOL< I think I need a pair too!

sewwhat85 12-29-2010 07:19 PM

lol

leonajo 12-29-2010 07:23 PM

KarenR 12-29-2010 07:26 PM

What style number did you get? I would love a compliment like that - I don't think I every had one in my life.
Hope your husband gives you some know that he knows you like them.

Marlys 12-29-2010 08:26 PM

I had a guy tell me that I wore the nicest pair of jeans he had seen in a long time. I said thank you, but I wasn't sure if I should feel good about it or be offended! I decided to feel good about it, and now I want a pair of those shoes too!!! Yes, I can be vain!

trueimage 12-29-2010 08:35 PM

But do you actually have to 'walk' in them? Or can you just buy them and put them and they work their magic?? hehe

I don't know what style number these are...

aorlflood 12-29-2010 09:09 PM

It would take more than shoes to get this a$$ in shape! LOL

bjnicholson 12-29-2010 09:11 PM

Do they come in industrial strength?

bjnicholson 12-29-2010 09:12 PM

Yes! Maybe if I could get 6 or 7 pairs on at a time...?

Annaquilts 12-29-2010 09:14 PM

sandpat 12-30-2010 06:11 AM

Well...you Go GIRL! Now, I gotta go shoe shopping

eimay 12-30-2010 06:22 AM

What a perk!

Mizcott 12-30-2010 06:47 AM

Hi from another Charli. I'd for sure, mark that day on your calendar if I were you! I remember being carded for alcohol when I was thirty-eight. I gave that little waitress a BIG tip! :-)

sandyo 12-30-2010 06:55 AM

I have several pairs I wear to work all the time. My feet are not sore at the end of the day.

Mickie612 12-30-2010 07:18 AM

What do you call the opposite of curves, have a bunch.

Grandmama Pat 12-30-2010 08:21 AM

I'm not going to buy shoes -- now where does this guy live?

Ragann63 12-30-2010 09:22 AM

I use them at work. Haven't really noticed much of a difference in my shape, but my feet don't hurt after being on them for 14 hours!

AgapeStitches 12-30-2010 09:43 AM

Congrats on the fabulous compliment!!

You still have curves, they just go another direction, just like mine.
BTW, Dr Shoals(??) has a version too, I saw them at Walmart. $30-40 vs $60+

KarenBarnes 12-30-2010 01:14 PM

I have a pair but until the past couple of days, I haven't spent enough time on my feet to make a difference! Too much time at the sewing machine, if you know what I mean! :) The past couple of days though have been a good workout!

TFquilter 12-30-2010 01:21 PM

Me too...I want some of those shoes... :-P
