When I was complaining about fabric fraying and she said just clip the corners. naaahhhh
I'll be darned...it worked. Then a lady on here said put a bar of soap by your feet to stop leg cramps. I thought it was a joke too. I don't know if it is because I am remembering to take my calcium or the soap. I feel a cramp coming on and move my foot towards the Ivory soap and the cramp goes away. Psycosomatic???? Whatever it is, its wonderful. Those cramps bring me to tears. |

I was the one who suggested the soap for leg cramps, but DH (the sufferer) gave up on it. Started taking magnesium instead.
but hey, whatever works for you, go for it. |

Another something that really works! When you get stung, take a penny over it! 15-20 minutes later, you won't feel a thing! This works too, I have done it twice on myself, so I know from experience. You can also just hold it on it, but it's nice to tape it & not be bothered...Works on bee stings, yellow jackets, anything like that.... nice!

Pickles will also help with leg cramps. When I was pregnant, I would get charlie horses at night, sometimes so bad I would have to walk up and down the hall for five minutes just to get them out. I started eating a pickle before bed and no more charlie horses. The one night I forgot to eat my pickle, had the worst charlie horse ever!
Of course, now that I have given birth...I have a fridge full of pickles! :) |
Dry, chaffed, heels of your feet?
Rub olive oil on them. Do this daily or at night...it will help but give it time. I've spent so much money on creams that have never worked. My mother is from Italy and she told me to use it. Why didn't I ask her to begin with? lol |

Please be careful when taking supplements. My father-in-law was taking potassium and almost died. His potassium levels were off the charts - the docs were amazed he hadn't had a heart attack.

Decolorized Iodine on your toenails twice a day clears up nail fungus in 6 weeks. Just apply around the bottom of the nail bed. Regular iodine would work just as well, if you don't mind having iodine colored toenails.

Ivory soap to help leg cramps? I still think that's psychosomatic, but if it doesn't cause any harm & seems to help - use it....

Why didn't I ask her to begin with? lol After bathing, rub in some good old Castor Oil. When I broke my ankle and had a cast up to my hips, I was horrified when the cast came off. My legs were so dry and no cream ever worked on them, and with the leg hairs long enough to pin curl, I did as one old guy said I met in the doctor's office. He said get the skin wet and warm, then rub in Castor Oil. It did work well, and sometimes I use it on my skin all over. |
I use a bar of Dove soap in my bed for leg cramps. Works for me. If we travel, I use whatever kind I can find and all seems to take care of them.
|
i keep a bar of soap under my bottom sheet at the foot of the bed, it works.
