Patrick Swayze, 57 years old, actor, dancer, and numerous other talents died, September 14, 2009 of a lengthy illness.
Being the fighter that he was, he would want us to remember all the good times, he put on the silver screen for us to enjoy.
What are some of your favorite scenes, etc....anything you want to share, to pay tribute to this awesome, handsome, sweetheart of a guy...and he was a nature lover, and absolutely had a passion for horses.

I loved him in Dirty Dancing and Ghost. Can't pick a favorite between those two.
He was so diverse, he could be serious and make you believe it, be a fighter as in the North and the South...handsome in a uniform...
and he was a lover...like in Dirty Dancing, a great partner to Jennifer Grey's, "Baby"...dashing...and an awesome dancer...woo hoo!
Just take your breath away in Ghost, a great love story, and he and Whoopi Goldberg, were stupendous together... just a few of my favorite moments with Patrick.
I would love to hear more.
P.S. He married and stayed married to his wife, for about hmmm, 22 years? not sure, but what a guy! :P :mrgreen:

Dirty dancing is my favorite movie ever, I even started dancing because of that movie, I absolutely love my dance classes :)

I loved Ghost too.

I was also a fan of Patrick Swayze. He was such a versatile actor. He and his wife Lisa were married since 1975 so that would make it 34 years.

He was famous for the line, "Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"...and truly, if you loved the movie, it was a moment!

Who of us didn't swoon over him in Dirty Dancing, I know I did.
And I cried right along with Demi Moore in Ghost.
I even liked him in the one about the surfer dudes wearing presidents masks and becoming bank robbers.
In a town where marriage was not a lasting thing, he made it work for 34 years with a girl he met when he was 18 and she was only 14.
He was a public figure who managed to live his private life privately.

Dirty Dancing and Ghost are two of my favourites too - we watched ghost again just the other week - I love the scene where he keeps singing 'I'm Henry 8th' to make Whoopi Goldberg give in and help him! :lol:

I said it on the other thread but my cousin met him and his wife a few years ago while visiting with friends in the States and she said he was a true gent. What a battle he had poor man - now at rest and very sadly missed.

I loooved that scene...and Whoopi was such a great counterpart. She won an oscar for that role, and she said he is the only person she thanked, bc he absolutely pushed them to cast her.
I know she is going to have something to say, today on The View.
He is so going to be missed.
I need to call my daughter so we can cry and laugh together. She loved him too. In fact, me and all my girls, watched several of his movies together, and have special memories of these times.
The music from Dirty Dancing is awesome. I'll never hear..."I had the time of my life..." without thinking of Patrick, and I think that is what he would say :D

As I said elsewhere, he was the very best, right to the end.

I didn't love the movie Dirty Dancing - but I sure did love him in it! Same with Ghost. Loved Whoopi in it, hated Demi Moore - it should have been me instead of her. That scene at the beginning where he's behind her as she's doing ceramics, that came right through the screen. I could feel him.

Point Break! That was one of my favorite movies of his. (Having Keanu Reeves in it didn't hurt, either.) I so wish he'd been able to make the sequel. Road House was another favorite.

I am so sad to hear that Patrick Swayze died. I know he must have been in terrible pain though. Loved his movies - love that he was married for all those years to same person - he was just a special guy

I think Dirty Dancing (seen it dozens of times) & the line "nobody puts baby in the corner" Wow!!
