living, with Margaritas.

Butterflywing, when I saw your name attached to this, somehow I knew it wasn't going to be about swine flu.

Tell us, please, when you made use of margaritas, which karaoke songs did you sing? Inquiring minds want to know.

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 09-11-2009 03:50 AM

Our local Mexican place has $10 pitchers of margaritas every Friday and Saturday night. My husband is a fan of the place.

(Littlest Mermaid) bet that was a hoot!...I got you Babe...dunt da, dunt da, I got you Babe...

So, what actually goes into a Margarita?

butterflywing 09-11-2009 09:13 AM

Margarita Recipe

The basic margarita recipe consists of three ingredients - Tequila, Cointreau (triple sec) and fresh lime juice. The true art of making margaritas lies in the ideal ratios and the pizzaz with which it is served. The ratio for margarita mix can vary from equal parts of each ingredient to 3:2:1 tequila: cointreau: lime juice. The triple sec is an orange liquer that adds a sweet-and sour flavor to the cocktail. Different flavors can be substituted for the triple sec to make interesting variations. Shake the margarita with ice and serve in salt rimmed glasses. You can add Grand Marnier instead of Triple sec for concocting an exotic margarita.

go easy on the tequilla

JoanneS 09-11-2009 10:02 AM

It tastes so good, it's easy to NOT go easy! This used to be an instant migraine for me  before I figured out that not drinking was better than migraines

Or, I just buy it by the gallon jug at the liquor store -- everything is all mixed up for you -- just add ice (or it's also nice to keep in the 'fridge for emergencies)  :D

if you don't go easy, you'll wind up like k3n. singing karaoke

That's ok -- I only drink at home 8)

MadQuilter 09-11-2009 01:33 PM

I have sung an ode to Tequila on a few occasions without loss of clothing, memory, or too many inhibitions. I can also partake of fermented grape juice (red) without any ill effects. However, give me white wine and people will be talking of stuff I have no recollection. It would explain a few things .....and I won't tell you what those things are. lol

sdeaaz 09-14-2009 07:36 AM

This is soooo funny, Can I share it with friends.... I love it.... Thanks for sharing such important news. Quilter1234
