I posted a few days ago asking for advice about whether or not I would have an opportunity to try out the various quilting machines at the International Quilt Festival in November. I received lots of great advice. Thank you all so much!

I am now planning our trip. We are thinking about taking our camper instead of trying to get hotel reservations. We will be coming down from Texarkana on Highway 59 and would like to stay somewhere in the vacinity of our route. Does anyone who lives near Houston or has camped near Houston have any suggestions on nice campgrounds?

I haven't been to the Quilt Festival so I don't have any idea what area it is in. We stayed here and enjoyed it though:

the boardwalk area is nice and there is a Walmart closeby too :-)

I know nothing about camping but Kemah is a nice area and we've seen this facility when there. You would be about 26 miles from Downtown Houston and the George R Brown.
