I think "they" make a television that works like a computer, and gets the internet. What does everyone think/know about this? I would like to sit in my easy chair, and instead of watching crumby tv (we don't have cable - thank goodness!)- but I wouldn't mind relaxing infront of utube videos (for educational purposes only -- really!) to improve my quilting, knitting, etc. knowledge. I'm adding this invention to my wish list, ummmm # 232 yikes!!! ;-)

We kind of do that now...we hook up the laptop to the TV and whatever we want is now on the 60" screen. Love it for looking at all the beautiful quilts, etc here on the board. I do watch utube as well...great.

I have a newer flat screen that can connect to Internet. The remote has a full keypad, kinda like a slide phone so I know you can get one.

Many of the newer TV's have that capability. I looked into it... the cable is VERY expensive. Therefore, I sit in front of the computer. This may be good for me, though, because it keeps me from lying on the couch for too long :D

If you have a newer tv you can go wireless without the expensive cord and it works great.
