shawnemily 01-26-2011 06:12 PM

I feel bad for you but.....................
 Please dont send it north!!!

frugalfabrics 01-26-2011 06:22 PM

I heard the east coast was going to be getting 10-12 inches of snow this weekend...is that true?

cherylynne 01-26-2011 06:26 PM

Oh, now I need hot chocolate, a good book, a fire in the fireplace and my favorite quilt. Maybe another cozy home day tomorrow.

lisameow 01-26-2011 06:27 PM

as long as there is power, there is time to make a scrappy when you are snowed in!

=^..^=

I am sorry to hear you are still being bombarded with snow!!! It has calmed down a bit here in Iowa, but the cold has been staying around. Hot tea and a warm quilt should be very helpful right about now. Stay Warm!!

It's 11:26pm here in PA (just West of Philadelphia) and we, too, are having a blizzard! It's been snowing for more than 4 hours. My husband is out shoveling our deck. We had snow from a couple previous smaller snowfalls, and then this one. He is shoveling more than 2 ft of snow! (He's worried about the deck collapsing due to the heavy snow.)

I'm loving it at the moment (probably because it's pretty and I'm not shoveling).

so sick of snow when is it going to stop I can see why so many people are depressed in the winter

dotcomdtcm 01-26-2011 08:51 PM

Snowing like mad in NYC!! Snow = sew for me!

littlehud 01-26-2011 09:00 PM

We haven't had much snow here and I don't want any. Keep warm and stay inside and sew.

dotcomdtcm 01-26-2011 09:03 PM

They are calling it "snow fatigue". Good luck to anyone who has to drive tomorrow!

trisha 01-26-2011 09:48 PM

I don't know why the snow keeps getting past us. We live in Northwest Ohio, away from the snowbelt, but we hardly ever get really snowed in. Dang!!!

Up North 01-26-2011 10:37 PM

I live near the tip if the it in Michigan and we don;t seem to be able to get any snow either! Please send it here!

Sadiemae 01-26-2011 11:11 PM

I want some!!!

QuiltingTurtle 01-26-2011 11:44 PM

Up to our eyeballs here too. It's getting depressing. Not to mention DS will now be in school til the end of June YUCK.

All the public schools & city offices are closed. DD works for a CityCouncilman so she has a snowday!! I think that means a baking day. Yummo! The snow is beautiful!! But they can't collect the trash so soon it will be ugly. Now we have sunshine. I bet the kids are on sleds in the park. Stay warm.

I'd be so glad to send it to you ASAP if I could as I'm sick of snow. We're near the ocean and usually get more rain than snow but not this Winter. It snowed all day Wednesday and through the night and left another 12'' of snow. I'm glad I did a big food shopping at the beginning of the week as I'm staying inside. The past year or so the arthritis in my left knee has gotten worse so I'm very leary of walking on snow and ice as I use a cane. If I'm forced to say indoors I should use the time to make a good dent in my UFO's. May in Jersey

Got 10 inches here last night plus we already had 2 from the afternoon. Our snowplow man just called, his plow is broken!

LAB55 01-27-2011 07:24 AM

We had about 12" yesterday, here in the mountains of Western Maryland, it is the most so far this winter, our power went out for about 5 hours last evening, but the wind wasn't blowing & temps were in low 30's.
Last Feb. we had about 48+" in about 30 hours, the dogs had fun, but all the shoveling was a pain ( had to make paths for them).
I feel for yous that are further north, you are ahving what we had last year & snow belt in Ohio, I use to live there 30+ years ago, know what you mean .
Stay warm & safe !!
