This is just a "wondering" question.... Why do some people choose to have their location in hiding????

I think if they don't put anything in it automatically says "in hiding". As for why, I guess some people don't want to disclose where they live? I put mine in because I always like to see if others in my area are here.

They just did not know how to sign-up and skipped parts. At least I did.

Because I live in a very tiny town, I only give the state.

Many on here like myself choose to since we are involved in several secret swaps. So putting it "in hiding" is just to "secret" to our pals and angels! lol!

I like when they say their location is in hiding, but in the intro they tell you where they are at.

Witness protection program.

Sorry, couldn't resist that.

I remember seeing a report on how a detective found a school age girl all by the clues that she gave out online. She thought she was being very careful, but they added up until he was able to put it all together. So I hate to be too detailed - just in case there might be some weirdo lurking out there...

I still think it's a shame that people don't even want to own up to which country they are in - and states or areas are usually big enough to give anonimity (did I spell that right?)
