dreamboat 11-05-2010 04:49 PM

I got a new stove just like that last year. I also got a new microwave to go up above it to match it this year. They are easy to keep clean.

grammyp 11-05-2010 04:52 PM

Nice, and so clean and shinny. Would be a shame to mess it up, don't you think?

pheasantduster 11-05-2010 04:53 PM

did you get the kind that cooks out all the calories from the cookies?
Enjoy and as Julia Child said "Happy Cooking"

jojosnana 11-05-2010 04:57 PM

I guess your Thanksgiving dinner will come out perfect in your new stove!

Very nice!!! I need to get myself a new one soon. Enjoy!! :D

Mimito2 11-05-2010 06:35 PM

Congrats on your new stove. I know you will enjoy it.
When I was working I went ahead and bought the appliances that I wanted to put in my house.(Hubby wanted cheapest possible and I wanted energy-star) I have a new stove, frig, washer & dryer and over stove microwave. They are hanging out in container waiting for the economy to pick up so I can get back to work somewhere. I just can't justify building a house without a job.

KathyAire 11-05-2010 06:45 PM

I am so happy for you. I can 'read' your excitement. I, personally, have a hard time getting excited about anything in the kitchen. I would just as soon my house not have a kitchen.

Enjoy your new stove.

SuziC 11-06-2010 03:27 AM

Congrats!! What are you going to make first???

NUTMEG10 11-06-2010 01:49 PM

She is a beauty - happy baking.

Caroltee 11-06-2010 02:02 PM

I think you and hubby need to go out to eat and celebrate your beautiful new electric range.:)
I remember when I got my 1st dishwasher I would serve DH on paper plates he would comment that he bought me the dishwasher so we could eat off the good china…………….Now every time I use paper plates I tell him were using the good china tonight honey:). He must still love me because Nov 24 is our 49th wedding anniversary. :-D

Ditter43 11-06-2010 02:36 PM

That looks just like my stove! Is it a glass top? Mine is a Kenmore but looks identical!! :D

pheasantduster 11-06-2010 03:05 PM

congratulations on your upcoming 49th anniversary. I am working on our 44th. Sometimes it isn't easy but then most of the time is "the best ever' - as we vowed for better or worse, sickness and health, until death so us part. I have much younger friends who have lost their husbands. We are blessed.

Jingle 11-06-2010 03:21 PM

I like gas, cost more, cheaper to operate and food cooks much better and faster. Electric is cheaper to buy, costly to operate. DD has an electric range, top has to be clean with special stuff so as not to scratch the top.
You have it now, best to just use it. I have bisque, new refrigerator 9 yo range.

scowlkat 11-06-2010 05:19 PM

That is really pretty - but what is it exactly? I don't spend much time in the kitchen - and would be happy to not even have a kitchen in my house!

lalaland 11-06-2010 06:33 PM

Isn't it amazing the things that excite us when we grow up? I cried when they hauled away my old frig a few years ago, it had given me 25 years faithful service, but I did a major happy dance when the new stainless steel one with water dispenser and automatic ice maker arrived!

Annaquilts 11-06-2010 06:37 PM

Woohooo!!!!! And just in time for the Holidays. I think I see a pie in there. Congrats!!!

Sandra-P 11-06-2010 08:26 PM

Very nice! I dont like the one I have now as the oven is smaller than my previous one, but until it stops working I will have to put up with it. I am glad for you.
