magnetic tool holders

hi this is the first time i posted a question. and i thank all of you on this board i have learned so much
and enjoy reading it every morning with my coffee. for christmas i received two of the little magnetic bowls
from tsc store and i use them for my pins by my machine. i have read to keep them away from a computerized
machines. i have one of them sitting by my 640 bernia and one by my 4500 memory craft janome. should i
not be using these? thanks for the info. jo

I use one by my Bernina also, but if you keep it away from (not touching) it should be alright....I have used mine forever it seems...and not problems.

i have the magnetic pin holders and keep one or two near my machine. to the right of it. not on it. as long as you don't touch it to the machine, all will be well. My small Fiscar scissors are magnetic and i lay them onto the machine near the needle often. nothing happens. so don't worry. I have a Janome MC4800.

You might be best to ask your dealer ... they are the ones who would honour your warranty and/or service your machine should something go wrong. So they should know!
