A very nice postal worker called me yesterday to say someone had gotten pricked by the envelope I mailed. What was in the package?
I had made a little pincushion, added a few fancy straight pins & wrapped it in 2 quilt blocks. Somehow, one of the pins worked its way thru the blocks & the heavy yellow mailing envelope... and pricked a worker! I offered to pay for a flat rate box but the nice mailman was going to call the intended recipient to come & get it. I have mailed a lot of pin cushions but I will be more careful in the future. I also made a get well one for Lynnie. I hope it arrives without drama! |
Another cute idea.

anytime you send anything sharp through the mail- be it pins, scissors, blades-what ever it is VERY IMPORTANT TO put them into a container they CAN NOT POKE THROUGH!!! LIKE A TIN-OR PLASTIC CONTAINER---
IF A MAIL CARRIER GETS HURT (POSSIBLE INFECTION) FROM SOMETHING YOU MAILED YOU COULD BE SUED!!! FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY---NEVER EVER SEND SHARPS THROUGH THE MAIL WITHOUT PROPER PACKAGING!!! |
