Meaning of words on Mola?

first word means lamp i think.

and it looks like an oil lamp. Really neat!!

I'm thinking it might be maroon lamp, speaking of the color.

It means "Simple Lamp" (Thanks Google) :)

It means " A Moor's Lamp". Lamp of moro and Moro Bay is a fishing village. However, it strikes me as being a little odd if that is the case, because molas generally come from the Kuna culture in Panama, do they not?

That is a beautiful Mola. I have inherited my DMIL's collection of beautifully matted and framed Molas and I don't know what to do with them or know how to find out their value. I really don't have a place for them but don't want to just give them away. Anyone have any suggestions?

I love mola designs & often use them in machine embroidery.
