Missouri Star bus Trip

Our group of 8 women from the Metro St. Louis area drove to Hamilton, MO to go on the Missouri Star bus trip to Iowa last week. I am still tired but it was so much fun. I spent way more than I wanted to, but I did come home with the fabric I was searching for. Met Jenny Doan and she is a sweetie. If you ever decide to go on the trip, you will have a good time. I think we went to about 6 or 7 shops, some out in the boonies. They would serve home made snacks to us such as cinnamon rolls and kettle corn. One Amish run shop had a bakery and general store next to it so we also loaded up on home made cookies that were divine as well as bread and huge cinnamon buns. Also came home with some extra pounds I think. This was a great trip and all 8 of us enjoyed it.

Sounds like my kind of trip - how fun is that - combine sweets and fabric - where do I sign up?

A group of friends here on Long Island have talked about going on a road trip to visit the Missouri Star Quilt shop. It sounds like you took a special tour? If that is so, do you have any details? This year we went to Paducah and had a blast.

I'd love to hear more if this was a planned tour.

thanks
