more dresses for Eiley
3 Attachment(s)
While taking a break from quilting, I got 2 more dresses made for DGD today and a pink nightie yesterday.

I used to enjoy sewing for my little (not so little now....) girl and she loved her new dresses. Now if they would all just get busy and add a girl or two around here again...:)

Very cute dresses!

Those are all so cute ~ great job & I'm sure she loves wearing the clothes you make!

Thanks everyone.

Very darling clothes.

Adorable! Is the nightgown from the same pattern as the dresses? I would love to make a couple of nightgowns for my 5yo DGD. She starts kindergarten tomorrow and she is beyond excited. She already has her "first day outfit" picked out to wear!! Hmmm, if I make her some nightgowns, wonder if she will stop sleeping in her big brother's (he's 7) t-shirts????? LOL

Eiley hasn't seen these yet. She starts kindergarten next week. |
Awe, these are so darling!

Your little dresses are adorable! I especially like the black and white. I'm hoping to have a grand daughter to sew for one of these days.

They are even cuter in person (with a cute little girl in mind for them) since I was able to see them in person today. Good job, Dawn!

I would like to know where you got that second pattern. It appears not to have a zipper or buttons. It would be perfect for Little Dresses for Africa. Thank you!

Made me nostalgic for when I used to sew for my girls. Love the dresses. I know she will love them and twirl around joyfully for you as mine did for me. Thank you for sharing.

I got all the patterns at Hancock (on sale for $1) and if you mean the green/yellow one, no, no zipper or buttons. It is Simplicity #2241. Very easy and fast to make. |
I would be sewing more for my DGD if she lived closer than 3 hours away...and IF I worked fewer than 32-40 hours/week! :( I do, however, fix the knees in DGS's jeans so they have 'not' holes in them! (Grandson's term...makes me chuckle whenever I think of him saying "You have to fix my jeans so they have 'not' holes!")

Oh, they are sooooo sweet! I used to sew pjs & gowns for my GDs but they are living in China now & growing up soooo fast. Need to try to sew more for them but sizes differ soo fast... Bigger girls now days don't seem to wear many dresses or skirts anymore, mostly jeans...

Nope, not like they can come over for a fitting, huh? My DGD will NOT wear jeans. She says they are too scratchy and don't feel good. Well... maybe some day she will change her mind. LOL |
