It must be winter!

Our recent Jan. thaw took away our insulating snow cover. Frigid weather now has been around and our septic line froze up, I got intestinal flu, and this a.m. the icy weather and strong winds took out our electricity for over 2 hrs. Yikes.
Later today.... found out a 50's era Singer FW is going to be mine!! I think I'm feeling a whole lot better!;)

When the worst is here, it can get better .... thank goodness it got better for you! BTW how do you thaw septic line pipes? I've never seen that problem.

When it rains it pours. Hope you are feeling much better soon. Congrats on getting the FW!! I have one that I use as my traveling sewing machine and I love it!! I hope you enjoy your machine when your feeling better.

My dh is a plbg. contractor, so he's able to handle those problems. No so much as thawing it out as it is running a cable through the line that runs from the tank out to the drain field. Same principal as running the drain cleaning cable through a plugged drain line. He's exhaused right now & taking a nap or else I'd ask if he also had a hose with hot water running too. If we have enough snow, it insulates the lawn & the frost doesn't go down as far. I actually hope we get a few inches of the white stuff now!
