Yesterday my husband was working trimming trees around our water garden and I walked out and said to him " why isn't the waterfalls running.( It's shallow so the birds drink and take baths there.) anyway he goes in to the garden shed where the elect. for the new water pump is . He call me and sticking out of the ground is a stub of elect cord. (it' been cut off ) Now the wire is a special underground wire but from the elect. plug in to the ground is only 2ft. He says too me why!!!!! would anyone steal only two ft. of wire. Now his idea is the someone cut it for the copper wire. so the rest of the day he is in a terrable state --to think someone would steal his wire. So that evening he goes to all the neighbors to see if they have seen anyone messing around our yard. (we're retired and home most of the time) everyone around us works. Man thinking ,i guess. Anyway I try to tell him that no one would steal just two ft. of wire and don't forget the plug in. Any way none of the neighbors have seen any thing. We go to bed for the night he's still really upset but what can I do. Next morning I get up and he's setting at the table Points his finger in the air and says "mistery is solved) I Know what happened to the wire . Last fall he rerouted the under ground wire to the car garage because it was a shorter distance , He cut the wire off so he himself could have the plugin. Now all the neighborhood thinks we have a gang of robbers around and are locking up everything. So far he's made it to three neightbors to tell them his wire wasn't stolen ---just his mind. Don't let anyone tell you that retirement isn't fun :P
