A couple of weeks ago I came home from work and as my normal routine goes, started working on what to fix for supper. My DH came in and as we caught up on the day's events said, "by the way before I forget to tell you".

He "loaned" my one and only iron to the youth organization so they could iron patches on the football jerseys. He "loaned" my iron to people have no clue as to what an iron is for. He promised he would have it back within 24 hours. In the meantime he took me out to get a backup just in case I needed to iron any of my quilt pieces before it gets back. He also admitted he wasn't sure if the iron would be use able once it does come home.

I reminded him today the the iron is still not home. I guess I can make a donation to the youth with my old iron.

Your avatar sums up nicely what my reaction would be if my DH did that.

Wonder how thrilled your NSDH if you would have loaned out one of his important tools??

Amen to that!

It would depend which iron. The cheap one, okay I will donate. The better one, he better be hiding. LOL!

LMBO I wholeheartedly agree

I guess you will be shopping for a new iron

I bought a cheap iron for right now. I don't like to run out and replace something unless I really need to.

I hope you get it home soon. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Dh would be buying me the iron of my dreams, whatever that is. I would also be breathing fire but look like your avatar.

FYI - be careful of admins avatar. He might get the 'hots' for you.

Sorry that your DH loaned out your iron. So what new iron are you guilting DH into buying to replace it? :-)
