Here is a picture of my new pooch, that we rescued from running deer and being hit by oncoming traffic.

He is a great dog, and we have already spoiled him.

he has aready found a spot in the flower garden.

Oh, bless his heart! Look at those eyes. Just spoil that baby rotten! What did you name him? Any idea how old he is?

Mountainquilter 09-13-2009 01:25 PM

His name was Ty so we left it that and he is between 3 and 4 years old. Cross between a greyhound and husky.

Sweet baby! I think he knows he has found a good home!

CajunQuilter2 09-13-2009 04:45 PM

Oh how sweet, I have a soft spot for rescue dogs. You did a good thing!!

janRN 09-13-2009 06:08 PM

He's beautiful. So grateful that you found him. My dog, Patches, (he came with that appropriate name) is also a "foundling". He lived on a farm and when we got him he only weighed 25 pounds. He should weigh about 60. Don't tell him I told you this--he actually weighs 75!! Yes he's on a diet but aren't they too easy to spoil? Enjoy Ty and spoil him rotten-he deserves it.

What a sweetie. He looks so happy. He knows he has a great home now.

He looks like a sweetheart. Your new garden inspector no doubt.

Just make sure he doesn't start chasing something as greyhounds won't stop for anything. And the husky part, well they love to wander off and come back when they are good and ready.I pray you have a pooch that will stay put!

Thanks for rescuing him. I worked at an animal shelter for almost five years and saw lots of critters come and go. I alway's cried when my kids got a forever home.
Thanks to all of you :D :D   for adopting and not buying.

He's very handsome.

Oh what a beauty! In the UK, he'd be called a lurcher - that's any greyhound cross (I think!) and it's my favourite type of dog. Oh, I love him! I'm going back for another look! :D

Bevanger 09-14-2009 04:34 AM

I have always felt like there's a special place in Heaven for people who give an animal a new life.
