Well my son(3 yrs old) got into my glasses and broke them. I'm really sick and I was sleeping, my boyfriend was supposed to be watching him...ya....so I ended up calling santa(on his toy phone)and told santa he was really naughty and broke my glasses and that he should be put on the naughty list. So now he won't call santa and apologize, he got mad at me and he's pouting in the livingroom.

Leann 12-22-2010 01:44 PM

Ugh, you poor thing . . . sick and with a naughty kid to boot. Sorry about your glasses. Things will get better.

cjomomma 12-22-2010 01:47 PM

Well let him pout!! Glasses are very important and expensive and he needs to learn that.

wolph33 12-22-2010 01:50 PM

lol he has to learn not to be naughty

hperttula123 12-22-2010 02:02 PM

Ya, I know...I'm letting him feel bad. Glasses are VERY important. I can't even drive with out them. Glad I have extras. :)

Quilter7x 12-22-2010 02:03 PM

It's a good learning lesson for your son. Too bad it's at your expense, but I am very glad you have extra glasses!

sueisallaboutquilts 12-22-2010 02:07 PM

Oh no!!! Get better soon! Glad you have another pair.

maryel 12-22-2010 02:38 PM

Hope that you are better very soon and glad that you had {extra glasses}. Things will look brighter, you'll see. Thanks for sharing... Sometimes we just have to "vent" and get things off our chest, so to speak and we feel better...

Up North 12-22-2010 02:38 PM

LOL I did that to my grandson he was really watching me when I was "talking' to Santa, Not sure he really cared tho!

hperttula123 12-22-2010 02:52 PM

I like to buy a couple at a time. I get them for $10-$30 online, but it is the point that it takes over a week to get them and he has to be careful with them. He's being extra naughty lately. He's going on his third round of antibiotics in about 4 weeks. He was sick and they gave him a regular antibiotic and by the time we had to bring him back for a follow up he had bronchitis on the verge of becoming pneumonia....so another antibiotic with steroids. That seemed to work and he started coughing Monday night and last night he could hardly breath so my boyfriend brought him to the emergency room and he's got croup and an ear infection. Not that I'm condoning his behavior, he's still getting in trouble, but I'm a little lenient with him right now.

Oh,the poor little tyke with an earache too.Sorry he broke your glasses .Hope things work out ok for both of youpab

carolaug 12-22-2010 03:10 PM

I think your boyfriend needs to be out on the naughty list for not watching him...

I definitely agree, I know your little boy was naughty but doesn't the fault lie with your boyfriend for not watching over you son.

Me too....

He may be acting naughty because of the steroids. My late husband said they made him feel like he was crawling out of his skin. Hope you get new glasses soon, and you both feel better soon.

It sounds exactly like something I would have done.

PurplePassion 12-22-2010 10:24 PM

You get glasses for $10-$30 ?? Mine cost over $300. so I can only get one pair in 3 years.

fayza 12-22-2010 10:28 PM

Thats a cute story. I have 3 boys, and there's nothing like them... Oh yes we've had lots of "learning experiences" lol Hope you get to feeling better & have a Merry Christmas :)

tellabella 12-22-2010 11:30 PM

I have 2 sons...they are grown now...I often think about when they were young and broke something...my oldest broke a beautiful lamp that my grandmother had given me when he was about that age...I really had a fit..now that I look back I wish I wouldn't have gone nuts...in the scheme of life...it really didn't matter that much...and the matching one I eventually got rid of because it went out of style...now I know glasses are more important..and necessary..and a lamp isn't really..but before long he won't be 3 anymore and you will miss that so much...

When my boys were in their teens I came home one day after work and they had hung a picture on my living room wall. I had asked for months for the hubby t hang it, I was sooooo thrilled that they hung it. a few years later when I went to go paint my living room wall I found a nice large hole caused by a lacrosse ball...BOYS.. LOL...Just remember things are replaceable...and how you handle punishments they will remember when they get older. My brother use to be punished over his grades when younger...my dad and him never had a close relationship because of it. My brother is a very successful business man...he is very motivated...just not in the classroom. PS...don't forget to put those glasses up high so that he can not reach them.

gypsyquilter 12-23-2010 05:52 AM

poor baby, give him hug and a kiss. all is forgiven when your not feeling well.

CarrieAnne 12-23-2010 06:11 AM

Aw, hope everyone gets better soon!!!!!!
