Need help with Pinterest????

I enjoy crusing pinterest but get frustrated when I can't get the instructions, pattern, tutorial on a subject...what am I doing wrong...are not all posts for instruction, just for posting? sometimes I would really like to know how someone accomplished their project??? thanks

Usually there is a link to a website containing the directions. Click the picture of the project, and a window should open with a link on it. I have seen a few things without links though.

And sometimes it is just a picture for inspiration.

I do not understand how pinterest works at all. I keep trying to make sense of it, LOL.

I finally gave up on pintrest - I got to it from seeing a couple of gorgeous quilt pictures that I never could find again.

I have come to the conclusion that sometimes "hunting" for the pattern, directions etc, are just not worth the time. I've gotten some recipes on the site but most the time you just can't connection with the web site....conclusion, NOT worth the time...thanks guys...

I go on Pinterest every day. I always find new ideas, not just for quilting, but many things. I usually click on the link under the picture on the board and it takes me to a sight. Sometimes there are tutorials and sometimes just an idea for you to get inspiration from.

I can't figure it out at all. I am totally lost on the site so I don't go there anymore.

I look at Pinterest every day. I prefer using it inplace of subscribing on this newsletter because I can SEE the pictures and find the link quickly. If you click on the picture of the pin it will take you to that particular pin, without all the other pins showing. Next, you should click on the picture again and it will take you to the Internet link. If it DOESN'T take you to a link, it's most likely just a picture from fLicker or a personal pic of the person doing the pinning. I have pics of the baby shoes I've made for my grandsons pinned, and it won't take you to a link. Also, sometimes on the bottom of the pin, you will see a link to the original idea. Good luck...don't give up!

i have literally thousands of quilt patterns on my pinterest site. i do get annoyed when i go to one i really like and there is no pattern put like someone said its inspiration. to me its frustation. lol i try to make sure i have a pattern connected to most of mine. there are some however that have gotten through without one. but one the whole the site is great. im no quite sure how it all works either but i get great things off there. knitting patterns, household ideas and hints and so much more. the recipes are amazing as well so don't give up on it keep trying it does get easier. look up my site rachelle pare hopefully you will find something you like or can use there.

I check Pinterest fairly regularly. I have gotten some great ideas from the pinners I follow and find all kinds of interesting patterns. The pinwheel quilt I made for my daughter was made from a photo (no pattern) she saw on Pinterest and told me about. I made it from the photo (pinwheels are not exactly rocket science, even for a beginner like me!) Keep looking if only for the ideas and for the fun of seeing what others are doing. :)

Okay, I just went to Pinterest to see if they had a help page that I could link to and I spent 20 mins looking around! I'm on Pinterest at least every other day. It is like looking at magazines for me! So, I just did a google search for How to use Pinterest tutorial and came up with many sites and some videos. http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...75lllllllllll0

Not all pins are for instructions. There are thousands of quilts that are original and all you're going to see is a picture of it. A lot of pins only go to a flicker page.

I spend at least as much time on Pinterest as I do the board.

Just the last couple of days, I've started using it after signing up months ago. It has really been a lot of fun since I've figured out how to use it. Now I understand why everyone is so crazy about it.
