Need New Vacuum Cleaner
Hi...my vacuum cleaner just died and with two kitties and my sewing I need to get another one fast. I went to Sears but all I saw was a bunch of lightweight cleaners. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good vacuum cleaner.
Thank you and hope you all have a wonderful day. |
Depends on how much you want to spend. I have a Dyson. It is the one designed for pet hair. Expensive $500, but I love it. My mother's housekeeper used to stop by and borrow it to vacuum my mom's house.

One of the best things about the Dysons are ALL of their parts are renewable and replaceable and easy to find so you never need to completely renew it. My opinion by the Dyson model you can afford rather than a cheaper copy. |
My next vacuum cleaner will be a Miele (German made and excellent).

Mine is a Eureka AS1001A AirSpeed Gold. I paid $125.00 for mine. But they are priced around 100 bucks now.
It works great, when using the attachments it doesn't loose any suction. It's easy to empty, easy to clean and cleans carpets and bare floors very nicely. |
To me vacuums are disposable. I buy a reasonable priced vacuum, usually on sale for about $50 and use it until the filters get worn and the brushes get all tangled with stuff. I don't have carpet but do have room size area rugs. I have had high priced vaccums but after a few years they get smelly and seem to not work as good as they did when new. It's hard to replace a $400 or more vacuum after a couple of years, but not a $50 one every so often and get a new better one each time.

Dyson as all I can say, you may take them all apart and clean them and a way you go again mince is 6years old love it as all I can say looking to buy a small one now price wise high but no complaints on this at all worth the money

I have the Dyson one for pets...it's okay, but I wish I could get a Kirby like my Mom had! That thing would suck the carpet right off the floor, clean it, and re-lay it for you! They don't make ANY brand like that any more as far as I'm concerned.

I have a Dyson, per the recommendation of my DD. I've had it about 6 years now. It cleans up after the pet, grandkids, us and quilting. Love it....just don't like to vacuum! LOL
