I accidentally bought Hot Mango Chutney, is there any way to mellow it out? I need it in the meal I'm making and have no way to get to another store from my house, nor would I want to go, it's much too warm!

Please and Thank you!

I asked my son and he said to use yogurt or sour cream and refrigerate. He loves everything hot but not all his house guests do. Has used this trick several times he says.

Yogurt or sour cream would cool it down. Mile would but us have to use enuf and it would water it down.

Just go buy a different jar.

sugar will cut the heat. add a level teaspoon at a time until it tastes right to you.

or you can send it to me. :) Hotter the better!

Be careful with milk - if you don't get the consistency right, it can turn too liquidy

Thank you all so very very much!!! The sour cream (My Mommy took me when she came home... and yes, I do still call my Mom... Mommy! :) ) It did reduce the temp!!!
