This hawk and another are flying around the block lately. A little to close for comfort. You can hear them squack or whatever they do. Erieeee!!!!!

I wouldnt let my small dog or cats outside without them being on a leash thats for sure. No telling what those Hawks are wanting. If they are hungry they will go after small dogs and cats.

We are very rural and have them often along with owls, and an occasional eagle. When my pets were little we did not let them out unattended.

Keep your cats inside the house. And small dogs. Everything that size has something printed on it and it spells "food" to hawks and owls.

they look hungry, get your pets inside

I think the one you took a picture of is an immature Swainson's hawk. I can't tell for sure unless I see it in flight.

Almost had a hawk get my sons little doggie and my silly shepherd went after the hawk, I was very scared, cause I know those birds can do some damage even to the bigger animals.

Beautiful birds! Thanks for the pictures! (But do keep the kitties in the house! I think there is an echo in here)

I have dogs and am nervous for them, I keep a close eye on them when they are outside.
