Hi everyone I now I've been away from the internet for a bit, my daughter went into early labor about a month early with some major complications for both the mom and child. So emergency C-section and everyone is fine.

So Liam Michael is now our latest addition and I can now breathe again. His lungs were under developed and he did have some fluid in them but he's thriving in NICU. Now I will need to drag my daughter out of the hospital doors tomorrow because she's discharged home but not Liam he's still got another week or two in. I'll post some pics of him soon.

So glad that both are doing well.............calla

Congratulations Grama! So happy to hear that they are both doing well now. It won't be long til the little one is home :D:D:D

So thankful that both Mama and Baby are doing well. It will be so hard for her to go home without him, but THANK GOD for modern medical technology! I'm sure he will be home soon!

Congratulations, glad everybody is doing fine now. Scary tho for a while wasn't it? went thru that with my daughter's second son. But he is fine now too.

So happy to hear mom and baby are OK..It's a drag that your daughter has to go home without baby,BUT it will be a tiny bit easier for her C-section recovery. Had two of those operations and it's not an easy recovery.

congratulations on the new grandson. I have a nephew that is two weeks old today and his name is Liam.

Congratulations. These are scary times, but your daughter is very fortunate to have your support and Liam has great medical care and incredible support from his family. Looking forward to seeing pics.

Our dil had her little Lily early and she weighed 3# so she had to stay and dil lived at the hospital until they told her Lily couldn't come home to a mom that couldn't take care of her so she finally listened and came home but was there every day until Lily came home.

Congrats to you for the birth of your grandson! I love being a grandmother :) Glad to hear that everything is well with your daughter and your grandson. Hope the little guy gets to come home sooner.

I so feel for your daughter, as I had this happen to me twice. Our first born stayed a month longer, and our last born 4 1/2 months longer. (all are married and doing excellent now) I had c-sections with all my pregnancies. The first one being the worse, as I was so very sick and was in grave danger. The traveling 90 miles one way for visits with our newborn baby.. was very exhausting.

glad both are doing well, but I know "moms" feelings - hard to leave the little guy behind - but all too soon he'll be home and thriving... she needs the rest right now to get ready for his big homecoming day - Congratulations!

And I have a 14 month old grandson named Liam.
I'm so glad to hear that mommy and baby are doing well. I am so thankful for modern medicine too. Imagine how many lives are saved today that wouldn't have been many years ago. My friend's daughter just gave birth to twin boys at 24 weeks. They are a week old yesterday. They are fighting everyday to grow strong and healthy. Just imagine. Your little grandson is in my prayers.
