New season for TV shows...what do watch?

The new season has started.

I am liking NCIS Los Angeles more and more.
Still like NCIS but there seems to be so much new stuff going on there.....still my favorite.
Criminal Minds....not sure about it.....guess it's difficult to come up with new murder scenarios.
CSI......lost interest after Grissom left but starting to watch it again.
The Mentalist is still interesting to me but I wish the Red John issue was resolved.
Bones...losing interest fast. Brennan just isn't the same character and I miss the old Brennan.

Isn't it easy to tell the type of shows I like!

Just wish there was a science fiction one that would catch my interest.
Last one I watched regularly was Voyager.

What do you like?

Sunnye 10-11-2012 03:59 AM

Finding myself less interested in TV shows. Don't even get me started on reality shows; they are often mean-spirited and just plain stupid. I never watch them and feel they have ruined TV.

SherriB 10-11-2012 04:59 AM

We dumped our cable and just have the local channels and use Netflix and Amazon Prime for other shows. But we are loving "Once Upon A Time", season 2. My dd's and I are hooked on this show and can't wait for Sunday night to get here. I always loved fairytales and this show is a perfect for adults and kids.

nygal 10-11-2012 06:11 AM

I watch Revenge,Nashville and Smash. For comedy I like The Exes, Soul Man.

huntannette 10-11-2012 06:18 AM

Person of Interest, Grimm, Revolution and of course Survivor...oh and most anything of the Food Channel...lol can you tell I`m a t.v. addict...and yes, i sew and quilt in front of the t.v. lol

funcupl 10-11-2012 06:51 AM

Have watched the Survivor episodes from the beginning, but after this many years I am losing interest quickly. This season seems to be boring to me. Same old competitions, same backstabbing, and annoying participants this year. Really love NCIS..even watch reruns over and over.... and LOVE Hawaii 5-0....but have ventured out and now love Major Crimes and Rissoli and Isles. So I guess there is something for everyone somewhere...LOL! The best is being able to DVR shows when they are on at the same time as others you like to watch. Great invention!
Have a great day everyone!
Claudia

Ranger - did you ever watch Battlestar Galactica? Not the old original one from the 70's, I mean the newer series (2004-2009) with a female Starbuck (Katie Sackoff, LOVE her). It's available on Netflix and was really good.

I'm not much of a tv watcher, but I do love Justified, Dexter, Breaking Bad, and my absolute favorite is Suits. That show is so dang good!

Tartan 10-11-2012 07:44 AM

Most of what I watch is PBS or CreateTv and the evening news with Brian Williams. I watch Marketplace, Country Canada and Land and Sea on Canadian TV.

nativetexan 10-11-2012 07:54 AM

I catch MHz worldview shows when I can. European detective shows, sub-titled. In the evenings. you can also watch them online if necessary.
right now i have no t.v. at all. Comcast is working on the neighbors line for some reason.Grrrr.

jbud2 10-11-2012 10:01 AM

I wish they would start the new season for Pawn Stars, Storage Wars and American Pickers. I know them all now.

No I never liked the show but my hubby loved it.
He watched every episode.

FancyFoot 10-11-2012 11:21 AM

The Amazing Race & South Park

nyelphaba 10-11-2012 11:38 AM

The Good Wife, Boardwalk Empire, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, The Amazing Race, and the rerun of All Creatures Great and Small on PBS.

Tashana 10-11-2012 01:22 PM

Ravolution, Supernatural, Grimm, and of course Dr Who on BBC.

NanaCsews2 10-11-2012 01:36 PM

Revenge is my favorite, but now last night I started watching Nashville. Bummer it was on the same time as Chicago Fire. I have never taped a show ever so I sit and press the return button on the remote and click back and forth between shows. I do this with the Voice and XFactor too.
I used to be a huge fan of Mentalist but I too am tired of Red John. They took off Harry's Law so had to start watching something else. Got tired of Amazing Race and am getting there with Survivor. And there are just so many reality shows a person can watch. I do like Storage Wars and anything with auctions. We are really big into the Alaska shows-Gold Rush Alaska, Yukan Men, Flying Wild Alaska, and Bering Sea Gold too. And when I really want relaxation, I try to find Andy Griffith or any Hallmark movie.

lynnie 10-11-2012 01:37 PM

Im waiting to see if Les slaps his wimpy son Seth up side the head on hard core pawn, and if his b****y daughter Ashley pops her eyees out at a customer.
Also, on Lizard Lick towing... whats up with Bobby, where he gonna work????????

lynnie 10-11-2012 01:38 PM

Oh, and whats gonna happen on big bang the middle and hot in cleveland.

COYOTEMAGIC 10-11-2012 02:17 PM

NCIS!!! Love me some Gibbs
Criminal Minds---Love me some Morgan too. It seems to be a slow start this year.
Warehouse 13---new season starts in Feb. They teased with a couple of episodes.
Bones----Maybe after Brennan's hormones get back to where they need to be after having the baby it'll get better, lol

Lots of shows on the Food Network and ID Network.

Quiltaddict 10-11-2012 02:19 PM

Just saw the first Nashville last night and think it will be good. I love Once Upon a Time and Grimm. Watching Revolution for now, still up in the air about that one. Can't wait for Reba's new show Malibu Country to start Nov. 2. I loved her old show.

TanyaL 10-11-2012 02:28 PM

The Voice, Grim, Once Upon a Time, Dan Patrick Show, Any Hgtv show, really like Vegas, NCIS.

Scissor Queen 10-11-2012 02:38 PM

I would say 90% of the shows I watch are on cable channels and not broadcast channels. One of the few shows I watch on broadcast channels is The Mentalist but I'll only start watching it after Project Runway is over.

chips88 10-11-2012 02:48 PM

i watch lizard lick, hard core pawn. storage wars.the one with the yeeep guy, american pickers. i also wish they would hurry for new shows.. oh yes pawn stars. i like chumly... rfd channel...

Julie in NM 10-11-2012 02:49 PM

Love Castle

Nanamoms 10-11-2012 03:38 PM

NCIS - glad they're not trying to "fix up" Gibbs anymore.
Criminal Minds - yes, starting a little slow...not sure about new girl yet if she really fits in. Liked Prentiss
Storage Wars - SW Texas was new last night.
Burn Notice - didn't like this at first but after getting into it, really like it now. Season finale - I cried.

Don't like "reality shows"...get too much of that in "real life". Don't want to see someone's train wreck! LOL TV is for relaxation!!

amen to that!!!!

SunlitenSmiles 10-12-2012 03:23 AM

I like "Rookie Blue" because it is almost like a Janet Evanovich novel except the women have ambition as well as intuition.

Sometimes I just want to tell Stephanie to wake up ! I guess that may be why I keep reading the books, I sure do not want to miss it when she finally ........ competes timewise with my quilting to read a book and annoying to not have it turn out the way I want (yet), my DD gets the books on tape.

Iraxy 10-12-2012 04:03 AM

The PBS show Call the Midwife. The Big Bang Theory. NOVA. The Britcoms which are really reruns. I love the Pawn Stars and American Pickers. Not interested in shows like Cupcake Wars, or shows with weird ingredients. I love most of the Food Network shows, especially Anne Burrell. Love the new program about getting the restaurants back on their feet. Some of the employees are not to be believed! Eek, is this a reality show? LOL

KwiltyKahy 10-12-2012 04:36 AM

I don't watch a lot of the prime time stuff. NCIS of course but most of the rest is PBS, love Doc Martin and wish our stations were carrying All Creatures Great and Small again. The big thing is the channels I have discovered that run old shows. Everything from Ozzie and Harriet and Emergency, Adam 12 to Alfred Hitchcock and Twilight Zone. Wish they would run things like Carol Burnett and some of the old dramas like Owen Marshall or Have Gun, Will Travel. (now you know how old I am)

callen 10-12-2012 05:11 AM

Love Good Wife, NCIS & the L.A. edition, Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five O & a new show called Scandal (some stuff really makes you think about the power in Politics). Used to watch Criminal Minds but it is getting too "dark" for me. Reality TV is an embarassment to entertainment. They are nothing but "Trash" TV. Maybe I just don't get it but I do not enjoy watching someone else's pain (wether mental or physical) on TV. This is just MHO

sak658 10-12-2012 07:12 AM

Love the new show...Vegas...watch Revenge (my favorite)..saw first "Nashville"...love "Castle"...Dancing with the Stars...love...The Voice...and waiting for Reba's new show also.. some reality shows ..but can't stand..Here Comes Honey Boo Boo...so disgusting and nauseating...talk about trash...MHO

karate lady 10-12-2012 07:24 AM

#1 NCIS. NCIS LA getting better. tired of the family problem and his mom. get on with cases.... CSI is getting better but do miss Grissom. Major Crimes is pretty good. cannot stand any of the reality shows as they are all so fake. face it...they are in front of a camera, it is staged from start to finish. Baby Boo Boo is child abuse in my eyes. And for goodness sake, who cares what the Khardashians are doing today??? Have to admit, I am watching less and less TV these days.

verna2197 10-12-2012 09:04 AM

Love Criminal Minds but not sure if I like the new girl on there. Am so in love with Morgan that is one hot man! Revolution, Revenge, Last Resort, Chicago Fire, The Good Wife, Scandal, Castle. Thank goodness for DVRs!

Chasing Hawk 10-12-2012 09:07 AM

Sons of Anarchy is our Tuesday night cuddle up night for TV.

I am fond of Boardwalk Empire but our current cable plan doesn't have HBO.

Learner747 10-12-2012 09:26 AM

We watch the 700 Club, FOX news, Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, The American Bible Game, Jeopardy, and Quilt in a Day. All of them are timers set on the DVR so we do not miss them.

EllieGirl 10-12-2012 09:44 AM

I still watch NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, Homeland, & Person of Interest. The new shows I like are Scandal, & Revolution.

I tried watching the New Battlestar Galactica. But I couldn't get used to a female Starbuck. The women were a little to aggressive and not the least bit feminine in my opinion. I guess I am a fan of the original.

I prefer the older version with Lorne Greene and Dirk Benedict. Although I do love Edward James Olmos' s work. He was fantastic in Miami Vice and America Me.

maryellen2u 10-12-2012 11:12 AM

I like Good Wife, Castle, Middle, Modern Family, Person of Interest, Blue Bloods, Call the Midwife, anything to do with Sherlock Holmes. I am disgusted with DWTS because Bristol Pallin is on there and dances like a broom but good dancers are being kicked off. I watch TV and movies while I sew and quilt. Plus I live alone so I am in charge of the remote!:D

cherrio 10-12-2012 12:14 PM

faves; person of interest, once upon a time, big bang theory, modern family is a hoot and revenge. I love the ncis and ncis LA. dvr all of em so I don't have to watch the commercials

jodyma 10-12-2012 12:26 PM

Now, I'm going to reveal my "about" age. Love Andy Griffith and can almost recite them word for word, I Love Lucy, and any show about wild animals. I have to admit that I think the new shows are not worth turning on the tv for. I do like Soul Man and The Exes, but still prefer something I can watch with my grandson.

Seaside gal 10-12-2012 01:26 PM

Doc Martin (all reruns now but worth watching over and over and over), Foyle's War, California Gold, and lots of other shows on PBS, The Good Wife, Parenthood, Revenge, Big Bang Theory. I miss the original Law and Order, watching reruns there too. Still watching MASH reruns too.
