This is my forth lesson in swimming, feels no fear, feels no tens but still my coach keep telling me (be relax) when ever i asked her why my legs dose not make splash?.
So from your experience what make u relax under water?

Sometimes your mind thinks you are relaxed, but your body disagrees lol. The more comfortable you can make your self be in the water, the more you will be able to relax  :D:D:D

My swim teacher told me the same thing. But I found the more time you spend in the water the more relaxed you become. Keep at it, and you'll get there.

My family has always been huge into water and swimming. I have done synchronized swimming, swim team, and now I am a lifeguard and swim instructor. To me, there is nothing more relaxing than swimming! The more time you spend in the water, the better off you will be :) Try floating for extended periods of time, the longer you can float, the more relaxed you are.

Good for you for learning to swim! It is never too late to learn something new.

I am scared of water and I am not a strong swimmer. Next year I plan to go snorkeling in Maui and I have to deal with the same thing you do. I guess I have to take lessons too, Good luck.

In Australia that is considered late to be learing to swim.
So saying, I took lessons at 45, and my older sister at 48. Just keep going, it gets easier and more enjoyable.
