I have been having a horrible time with my back. It is stiff, rigid and hurts horribly. Can't bend at all...walking was tough and stairs nearly impossible. It is why I haven't been going down to my sewing room lately.

Well, tonight I went to my dr. and she found that my tailbone was twisted and jammed into my left hip. She manipulated me around and OMG!!!! the pain is totally gone!! and I can walk, bend, wipe my bottom!!! It is amazing! And the stairs aren't a problem.

Apparently all this pain put my fibro into a flare too. So, she is changing my meds, gave me some lortabs for those horrible days and I go back in two weeks and she will see what needs to be done.

I am not allowed to cross my legs anymore. Just my ankles. She said my sitting with one leg up on the knee of the other is what has caused this. That sure is going to be a bad habit to break!

I've always been a skeptic about manipulation and have never had it done. Well, made a believer out of me tonight! I can't wait to see how I feel tomorrow. I get to babysit my DGD all day! :D :D

Yay for you! You may have to have this manipulation more than once, but how great that you found an easing to your pain.

Very cool to be out of pain!!!

I'm glad it was something simple. You never know when it comes to back pain. I have 2 joints in my lower back that pop out of place and when they do I wind up with severe back pain. I have to get on the floor on my back, pull my knees as close to my chest as I can (which would be easy if it weren't for my big belly) and the rock from side to side to pop them back in place and I could scream when it happens.

I'm so glad you got some relief.

I am walking proof today that manipulations do work.
I have sciatica problems, bursitis, four herniated discs (L1 - 4), a right hip that likes to pop out on its own, and several of the arthritis', so know pain well. Manipulation is a godsend. I hate meds so only do Aleve or Advil. Lots of heating pad time and ice bag.

I no longer cross my legs except at the ankle. I was told placing the ankle of one leg over the top of the knee of the other was ok. Not ladylike, but works. Also, one of the worst culprits is sitting with one leg under you. Bad, bad habit. Twists your hip and spine terribly.
