How do I know? I did it once. Thought I had enough clearance to go the last 50 feet home to my driveway. The car died, my husband, son and I pushed it the rest of the way home. DH did an immediate drain of all fluids in the engine - yes, there was water in the oil - and replaced them with "fresh" fluids. That saved the engine. DH said it could have gone either way, that we got very lucky. |
Wish you could send some rain my way.

WOW! Glad you are ok!

In my area flash flooding is common. Also, more people are killed by flash flooding than any weather condition! Beware of wading thru those waters.

I am so happy to hear that you didn't suffer any damages!
That is a LOT of water :( |
It is great that your vehicles didn't suffer any damage. Now you know you don't want to park there if it is raining, I guess.
Glad you were safe. |
I'm glad your car started. Take care and stay safe!

When Norfolk flood just before Thanksgiving, 2 years ago. My son's Dakota truck drown. So he replace it with a new Silverato with the biggest tires he could find. To me they look like something that should be on a semi and added 11 inches of lift. Now I need a ladder to get in the truck. I told him now with those tires he will probably float into the bay if he can not get above a flood with all that lift.
