IMHO it is best to keep ALL personal information private.

Geesh! What is this world coming to! So glad I don't have a smart phone. My pics are loaded with a little cheepy kodak. I will be sharing this tho, thanks for posting! Very scary!

You can turn this feature off on your smart phones. The manufacturers don't make it easy, but you can, and should, do it. Nowadays, you just can't be too safe.

I have tried to tell my son to NOT post the kids photos on FB or My space..he is so naive about things..for being as smart as he is technically...he just doesn't have any common sense sometimes...thanks for sharing this..I posted it on my FB page..maybe it will keep someone safe..crafty_linda_b

They show at the end of the clip how to shut off the GPS for the camera so that location information isn't available...
I can see posting pics of the kids, but within reason... |
I have seen several news articles about those features on smart phones and how they can be misused. It is absolutely amazing what information is available out there these days (and I would love to know why the salespeople who are peddling these phones are not advising their customers how to disable these features!). I am very strict about posting photos of my family online and will only use websites that are password restricted . No FB or Myspace either. I won't allow ANY photos of my kids - and have asked friends to remove photos that contain my children's images from their pages. You cannot be too careful, this internet age makes it far too easy for the sickos out there.
