i notice that some members always are marked as online. some as offline. does that mean at that moment or does that mean they never logged out?
i never log out. do i always show up as being online? does anyone log out?
why?

I Rarely log out. So I will show as online most of the time.

My computer is always on, at times I may still have a quiltboard page up on the screen when it hibernates. I am assuming that I am still listed here as online. I have never logged out, ever....
I notice that you are online and offline BW...so we must disappear when we close out the board's windows, even though we don't log out.

i don't log out, but i put the computer to sleep at night. also, maybe when we aren't on this site, we are offline.

bw, that's a good question. I've wondered the same thing. I never logout, but I'm not always online or on the board. Hmmmm. Admin, what do you say?

If the computer is "asleep", it's not connected to the internet and you show as offline. Or if you shut down the window, you would show as offline.

If you are "online", it simply means your computer is connected to the page at that time, not necessarily with you there. ;-)

I shut my computer down at night....SAFER that way! BUT, when up during the day, I am online. I may not be at the computer, but I'm online. I have 6 tabs set-up, so I can be logged in here, check my e-mails, check my other favorite websites, or just plain surf..... :mrgreen:
