Today was gorgeous. It was in the lower 80's with no clouds in the sky. My cat bolted in through the window like her tail was on fire. Dog maybe? All of a sudden I saw the flash of light and heard the crack of thunder. The west side of the house is getting pelted with pea sized hail. I guess the painters won't have to rent the power washer now. This was not what Portland weather promised us on day two of summer! Gotta love it!

Well, I must admit you made me chuckle with the positive spin you put on the hail. Hope that painting gets done quickly. Kudos for a positive attitude (smile). Hope the cat is well (laughter).

We got a wonderful rain last nighjt. Also got hail but I don't think it did any damage besides knocking lots of leaves off.

Our temp.s are in the low 80s and lower humidity for the next 4-5 days. Okay with me, I hate hot and humid. Would like this all year.

I will be visiting in Oregon in early July. Hoping it will be good weather for some of the time.

My son lives in San Marcos and calls to tell us how HOT it is. Whenever people complain about the hotter weather here in Ohio, I tell them it's been 90 since March in Texas. It makes them think about their comment and the weather.

I couldn't get back to this last night. The lights blinked after one clap from God. This knocked out my telephone and internet. That should have been a message or something. "get off the computer and start sewing again". But no, I grabbed my cell phone and called Charter, to which I spent the next 2 hours trying to restore my services. The land line was restored, but still no internet. Tech support scheduled a service call for me for tomorrow afternoon. So, I took a Excedrin PM, and read a book while I sulked.

After a refreshing 8 hours of well needed rest, I woke up with a new attitude. I was determined to fix this myself. Obviously I did or you wouldn't be reading this right now. :-) My computer kept telling me that the modem was not connected. ?? So, I disconnected the line from the modem that goes into the computer, and then plugged it back in. I'll be darned if that wasn't the problem! All of a sudden the internet spoke to me again!! I knew I could do it. I kicked some gremlin arse and saved myself a service call from a technician who probably would have unknowingly exposed his major butt crackery to my cat........Life is good once again.
