I sure have enjoyed all of the additional crafted projects that everyone has shared. I try to bookmark something that really interests me, but often I forget. Since there is such an interest in other crafts (especially sewn crafts) here, would it be possible to have a forum dedicated to just other crafts? I know this is supposed to be a quilting board, but there is obviously an interest here and it would also not crowd the quilting forums for those who only want to see quilt related topics. Just an idea.

I would post some of my counted cross stitches I have completed!

Fiberarts? Fabric related but not necessarily quilting?
Is there another forum for hand sculpted dolls, for example?

I think that's a great idea

I've really enjoyed the Christmas gift ideas that have been posted here lately and the potholder tutes. I love quilts, but sometimes taking a break to do something else is just as therapeutic. I'm pretty much a novice and it helps to hone my skills by doing other kinds of crafts too.

this is a quilting board so it would not make sense to add sections for other crafts.

we don't fuss, though, when folks show us photos of their non-quilting projects. we all enjoy seeing them. :-)

Awhile back there was a thread that specifically asked for people to post pix of other crafts that the do. I posted some of my art work and so did several other people. It was quite interesting. People also post pix of pincushions, purses and totes that they make. It would be hard to draw a line. See, in my opinion if you can't cover up with it or cover a baby with it, it isn't a quilt. If it goes on a wall it's quilted art or fabric art but not a quilt. Others don't feel that way and that's okay.

i'd be happy to create a Virtual Section of somebody volunteers to manage it. :-)
