Thanks for sharing your native bird with us. He/she is great. Do they sing? Are they bigger than song birds?

How cool! Our "guests" are usually raccoons, not nearly as pretty.

We learned that song in grade school. "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree-e. Merry, merry king of the bush is he-e. Laugh kookaburra, laugh kookaburra, gay your life must be."

Yep, I have that same song going through my head, too! I also learned it in grade school many moons ago. I'd love to have that bird at my feeder!

He looks very big, I wouls hate to come in contact with that large beak. We had a hawk visit us one afternoon a couple of weeks ago. He was sitting on a fence post about 30Feet away. I was glad my Chihuahua was not outside at the time.

I never saw one before. It does look big. Beautiful bird.
