Looks like the pants football players use.....FOR MEN! Crotch Panel?????? if you made these, that is all people would be looking at, not the fact it makes you look slimmer.

nananurse 05-21-2013 02:57 PM

Seriously???? I prefer the size I am rather than have everyone looking at my crotch because of this ridiculous design!!!

A new twist on an old theme...called a girdle that was worn under slacks. I may need one but I gave up on those when my last Playtex girdle died. Probably 40 years ago...or more.

I would think this would be more practical and useful for men.... lol. In fact, didn't Levi's or Lee or some other manufacturer recently come out with men's jeans that have such a gusset?

ETA:
Omg they did. And guess what they named them? "Ballroom" Jeans!!! ROFLMAO!!!!

They actually look like very well made jeans -

But I'm wondering why they couldn't just change the shape of the inside leg and crotch seams to achieve the same effect without doing the inset.

Seams to me that when some manufacturers add that 'piece' - it's to save on the total amount of fabric needed.

Although the bias cut of that gusset would have more give.
