I was headed out the the back pastures tonight with 10 gallons of water...and saw the sun was shining on the Morning Glories just right. So I ran in for my camera and got these. Morning Glories look like they have a Christmas bulb inside. :D

Here are two neat ones of Snickers. I was chatting with Justin's girl after taking the last photo, when I saw Snickers on the van--and her reflection in the window. I had to take it from a distance, so the clarity isn't as good, but I like them. And some of the wood Mark stacked last year. We love it, so it'll go into the furnace only if we need it to. That's all for now!! Photos and quilting have taken a back seat--but I try to fit them in when I can. |

Your morning glory shots are just luminous! And I didn't see any problems with the ones of Snickers either - very nice. I can see why you don't want to use the stacks of cut logs either....just too nice to look at. as usual! Thanks again for sharing with us Karla. :D

My favorites are the woodpile pics.
I know everyone else likes the flowers and they ARE beautiful. But, the woodpile texture and the arrangement of "circles" just appeals to me...... |

God and Mother Nature sure know how to bring out the beauty in our world. Thank you so much for sharing. I love the flowers but the kitty is my favorite and the stacked cord wood is spectacular...just so earthy and ...I'm at a loss for words. Your photography has really moved me. Thank you. |
Your photography has really moved me. |
Karla, your photos are amazing. I love the morning glories and your pics of Snickers are astonishing. Thank you for sharing.

I just read the replies again and they make me want to go take more pictures for all of you!! When I do, I'll share, for sure.

Hey!
You haven't posted more? I'm waiting! <tap, tap, tap> |
Hmmmphh...and I came back just hoping for more...

Karla
Everything I am thinking has already been said!! God had blessed you with the gift of capturing the beauty of his world to share with others and we thank you so much for sharing it with us. Each time I see where you have posted pictures I am thrilled. I have a dial up connection and it takes forever to download pictures but when I see you name I always click on and just go on quilting for a while because the wait is worth it. I don't know what you teach but you should be teaching photography!! I would love to take a class from you. Keep those pictures coming. Beverly |
Wow Karla these are absolutely stunning! I love the flowers - the little hairs on the bud casing are so clear, you can count every one. And Snickers is just too cute - the reflection in the window is really cool. And I agree with Joan about the woodpile too - it would make a great Fall greetings card. You have a fantastic eye, girl! No wonder your quilts are so beautiful! :D OK that's enough compliments, go take MORE!!! :D
|
These pictures are just wonderful.
Thank you for sharing them with us & your talent as photographer!! :D :D :D |
Unbelievable karla. You are sooooo talented!! My jaw dropped when I saw the kitty staring into the camera. What a photo...same with the logs. Who'da thunk something like that would make such a great shot!!
|
I also have dial-up, and have hesitated to look at something that will take a long time to download, but will not any more, especially if it has your name on it! :D Your pictures are well worth the wait to see. I want to grow morning glories next year because of you. :D
You have a beautiful cat there, and the photos if the reflection are great. The wood pile isn't just a wood pile, it is art in its purest form. Thanks for sharing your great photos. I look foreward to seeing more. :D :D  :D |
The photographs of the wood pile are just magnificent.
You are a wonderfully talented photographer. Thank you so much. |
Feathers, thanks for letting us see them again. They take my breath away. The flowers are spectacular, but I really love the logs. Karla, you are truly gifted to capture all of this.
|
I don't know what you teach but you should be teaching photography!! I would love to take a class from you. Thank you for all your warm kind replies. I haven't had the camera out except to take photos of fabric... but fall is just around the corner, so there ought to be something to capture soon! :D |
I got an e-mail because of the last great comment and had to go and look at those fabulous (I hope the spelling is right) morning glories. They make me smile every time I look at them. :0 :) I had to bookmark them!!! :) :) :) :)
|
i was thinking, for those who do those gorgeous art quilts, your photos would make wonderful inspirations for a starting point.
