So, I apparently have a lot of questions! I've noticed the trend! So sorry about that...

I don't know what these pillows are called, I've heard many names for them, such as back rest, husband pillow; ect.

I have one of these, it's an old one that had barely any use and is still very plush, as if bought today. I ab-whore the the color, it's a green and brown plaid, and I really really don't like it. I want to make a pillow case to go over it, but no clue how to make a pillow case for it and how much fabric I'll need.

I do have the fabric for it... just need to know how much of it I need and how to make the pillowcase! Thank you!!!!

My husband has one of these and loves it...I would be interested to see what you find for a cover.

It's called a bed rest pillow....I love them.
Maybe this can help you make a cover?

Updated---ooops. I posted this link before I saw a review by a sewer near the bottom of the page, just above some photos. She says this pattern needs several changes etc. Sorry

You may just have to draft your own pattern. Study how it's pieced together, draft out on paper each of the pieces, and the sizes and add seam allowances (be generous). Cut out of a sample fabric (being generous with seam allowances) and baste the pieces together. I'd probably include some type of zipper so can can more easily get it off and on (and maybe even wash the cover), so leave an opening where you could put a zipper in the final product. Then use your sample to create a final cover.

And if you really hate putting in zippers, you can always safety pin it closed.

Looks a bit dorky, but it works.

I was thinking of doing buttons.

Maybe you could make your own pattern.

I might have to... which that is fine... I might do tie off instead of buttons... Thanks everyone!!!

If the green and brown plaid is just a cover you take it apart at the seams and use it as a pattern.

Alright, I took a photo of the pillow I have... I have a feeling this thing is from the 70's...

I opened part of the seam to see if it was a pillow with a cover and no such luck... it is stuffed with bits of orange foam and I don't need to get that all over the place... so I did measurements... I'm going to spend today cutting fabric and possibly sewing... I just want the ugliness to go away!

I've always wanted one of these pillows... and I didn't know we had one... so when I said to my mom, "I want one of these" as I showed her the photo from Bed Bath and Beyond... she said... "OH! We have one... you might want to make a cover for it cause it's not the most eye catching thing... but we have one!" I was happy that we had one that I could take so that I wouldn't have to buy one... I'm happy to try my hand at making a cover for it! :)

Sorry if the picture is a bit blurry that has a lot to due with the lighting in the kitchen!
