Wow! Those are really pink!!1

earthwalker 09-11-2010 11:59 PM

I lived in Hong Kong many years ago..pink and green were popular appliance colours....had never seen anything like it, 'cept here in the 70's when avocado green and burnt orange were the go!

quiltergirl80 09-12-2010 01:33 AM

I need those! DH wouldn't agree though :0)

No, I NEED those! I really, reallly, really need those!

I'd just about drive to Idaho to get them! LOL!

I wonder if they painted them?

ptquilts 09-12-2010 05:31 AM

saw a layout in a home mag once, ALL PINK kitchen with 1950's pink appliances - it was popular then too. It looked GREAT!!!

Abandoned house across from me has a nice aqua electric range, can't believe no one wants it.

CarrieAnne 09-12-2010 05:52 AM

Oh, pinks is my favorite!

mollymct 09-12-2010 05:55 AM

I think that would be fun for a laundry room! But I'd rather have turquoise...the ad says "refurbished"--wonder if they were painted?

kylenstevesmom 09-12-2010 06:17 AM

To bad I live across the counrty cause I'd have to buy them.. I LOVE pink, and I wouldn't care what the boy's dad says... He never does laundry anyways!

cjomomma 09-12-2010 06:30 AM

No, no, no!!! Now if they were yellow and black I would snatch them.

grann of 6 09-12-2010 06:37 AM

That reminds me of a house I toured when I was house-hunting. One bathroom was robins-egg blue with yellow. The toilet was the blue and the tile was yellow. Then the master bath was Barbie pink tile with turquoise tub and toilet. I was trying to get away from the turquoise toilet and tub in my old house so that house wasn't for me.

Lisanne 09-12-2010 07:43 AM

I don't like them, and I love pink. No, thanks!

amandasgramma 09-12-2010 09:15 AM

My grandmother would have LOVED it! She painted everything inside her house pink, including her countertops (before everyone knew you could paint laminate). She also put in a "tweed" type carpet -- with pink, orange, purple and other colors. Yip - her house was SOOOOO interesting  Ironically, the outside was always white!

Butterflyblue 09-12-2010 06:24 PM

They look like something that comes with the Barbie Dream House.

Hey, are we sure they didn't?

pookie ookie 09-12-2010 07:28 PM

My 1950 neighborhood originally came with all pink, blue or yellow kitchen and bathrooms. No one mixed it up by choosing a different color for the baths than the kitchen. I always thought that was interesting.

We do currently have a really dark red washer and dryer being sold everywhere in the states. My friend said she saw the same set in dark blue also. I'd rather have avocado or harvest gold than those DARK colors.

Naturalmama 09-12-2010 08:27 PM

I'm sorry, but ICK! lol! I am soooo NOT a pink person. Maybe maybe if it's the right shade of hot pink, but otherwise I can't handle it. lol!

One of our bathrooms is 50's pink tile and a chocolate brown toilet ( I'm not kidding, try to keep that clean  ). Too bad I don't live near Boise and need new w/d, they're weird enough for my house! lol

Caroltee 09-13-2010 06:56 AM

Just take your dryer and washer to an auto body paint shop and have them painted what ever color you like. Had my refrigerator repainted once and it was great

prairiequeen 09-13-2010 07:02 AM

They look Pepto-Bismal pink. No thanks.

MoMoSews 09-13-2010 07:02 AM

Hee Hee! Yep.

BellaBoo 09-13-2010 12:42 PM

I would buy that color. It would be a fun color when the kids were small. My kids started doing their own laundry at age 8. DH does most of his laundry. I dislike laundry so wasn't about to do it all just because I was Mom and Hon.

Lisa 09-13-2010 12:44 PM

Too much pink for me! My high school principal had pink carpet in her office, had the walls painted pink, had pink desk accessories, pink trash can, etc. Everything was pink! It was like being inside a Pepto Bismol bottle! (uh, er....not that "I" was ever in there!! lol!)

Matilda 09-13-2010 01:26 PM

My husband and I met a man years ago to told us his wife painted the swimming pool Pepto Bismal pink.

Tinabodina 09-13-2010 01:28 PM

OMG!!! That is PINK!

debbieumphress 09-13-2010 03:48 PM

OK I am not a pink person but I for some reason love that set. I would put it in my laundry room for nostalgia if anything. I have a 1912 reburbished ranch house and those colors would look good. I could always say they were Lucille McGilicutty's. LOL Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Lucyyyyyyy

Baloonatic 09-14-2010 05:55 AM

Well, that would be the perfect excuse for my DH to never 'help' with the laundry again!!! (He hates pink)

Roxanne 09-14-2010 06:01 AM

Do you think they painted them that color on purpose?

Roxanne

sandpat 09-14-2010 06:02 AM

Oh gosh yes...that is going too far!

Shemjo 09-14-2010 09:16 AM

I love 'em! But I wouldn't buy them. My first house had a pink porcelain sink in the kitchen! It was a soft pink and was okay. I didn't mind moving from there!

I love pink, but that shade doesn't do much for me. lol We have an antique pink wringer washer in our basement that came with the house. I told DH this had to be our house; the pink washer was a sign. LOL I haven't checked to see if it works, but I'll bet it does.

Too funny! LOL

Annz 09-14-2010 05:09 PM

No not for me.

galvestonangel 09-14-2010 08:07 PM

My DGD would love them.

Sheree from Chicago 09-14-2010 08:17 PM

Too funny!

VernaL 09-14-2010 08:36 PM

I should get them. I have a pink kitchen with a pink coffee maker, pink toaster, pink canasters, fry pans and utensils. We don't have a pink microwave, but I'd love one. If you do a "pink kitchen" search on eBay, you get a lot of pink items.
