I have an olympus fe 5010. Want to look for another one. Mine seems like it has a slow speed from picture to picture. It is 12mpx5z. Other than that it is a great camera. I haven't had any problems. My sister doen't have one so I thought that I would give her my old one after I got a new one. I want to stay under $200.00. I have been looking at the cannon, olympus, sony, nikons and the fugifilms. I would like the 5x zoom but would settle with the 4x.
So what do you have and do you like it? Does it take good pictures and is the shutter slow?

I just bought a new Fujifilm FinePx1800S with a 18x zoom. It was just under $200 and I love it. Bought it on line. Takes great pictures.

A lot of the digitals are slow when trying to take pictures back to back. Some have a special setting to allow you to do this. Maybe check your manual to see if your's has this capability? :D:D:D

I have a Fujifilm FinePx WP Z and love it. It was about $150, takes great pictures, has 18x zoom, takes movies, and goes under water. Really. I've had it in the lake, the pool, and the ocean. It is great. We take it on bike rides and just about everywhere we go. Fits nicely in my pocket or purse.

It has lots of settings that will affect the shutter speed (type of flash, indoor, outdoor, sports, nature ...)

We have a Panasonic Lumix, 12x zoom, 12 Mpx. We bought it at Costco for around $150. We love it! It even takes videos (check out this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjM77JNR-no). We have one thing we don't like about it, that we'd definately look for in the next one.....this one only allows us to look at the LCD screen. If the sun is out, it's hard to see what you're taking pictures of. My other camera cost more but I can look thru the viewfinder OR on the LCD screen.
