Quilts for Oklahoma victims

Judy Laquidera is taking quilt donations for West, Texas where the plant exploded. Do any of you know if any one or any quilt shops are taking quilt donations for the Oklahoma victims? I have family near the area that was hit, but am praising God that they are safe. However, I would like to know about donations for the ones that were hit.

"I am sure that you saw the devastation of the tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. Moore is 80 miles north of us and we are praying for their recovery. Some of the local guilds are accepting donations of quilts that will be distributed by First Baptist Church. If you would like to donate a quilt please drop it by the shop and we will get it to the right person or mail it to us PO Box 131 Cache, OK 73527"

Seems to soon to me. If you don't have a house, you won't need a quilt. It is summer also. I would wait until things are a little bit in order and it is cooler. Just me.

Some of us sew and quilt slower than others, so maybe if we start now we'll be ready by autumn. :)

seems to me if they lost everything they would appreciate something to cozy up in and call their own.

I have precious grandchildren and I feel like if a quilt would be something to snuggle with and be comforted by, then by all means make one whether it is 100 or 0. Thanks Newbee3 and Peckish. I am slow, slow, slow and my quilter is not doing quilting right now due to her husband's illness. Actually it's been several months since she has done any quilting and I don't know when she will be back to it. Gonna have to find someone else soon. Thank you for letting me know where to send quilts or inquiries.

A nice soft quilt can help victims feel love and also make the hard floor to sleep on a little more comfortable
