We are just living in the RAIN belt, I guess, and it just keeps coming, but this past Friday evening, July 7, we got about 4 inches in 2 hours, and about 5 miles south of us, they got 8 inches in that time frame. So, when I had to go to work on Saturday morning, I was in for a shocker. There was a stretch of road, where the water was gushing over it, running about 4 inches deep, and I had to drive through it. Maybe less than 1/8 mile, but it was long enough. By this evening, Sunday, the gushing over the road is gone, and so when I came over the area, I had to stop and take pictures of the damage that was done to the road. The south bound lane is now closed because of the damage. Very scary.

I know how you feel... it felt like WE were in a rain belt this spring, as it rained just about every day. Rainiest spring since the weather service has been keeping records here.

But now it's been several weeks with little or no rain. So when you're done with those rain clouds, please send 'em my way!

I live in north western North Dakota and we have had way too much rain this past few months. I don't understand why we have so much and those who need some go without. I got caught in the rain down south of New Town Friday and it wasn't a good thing either. Man, I could use a lot of susnshine right now. We got some today, but the forcast says rain every day this next week. They cancelled our State Fair, Thank God. I don't know what or where they thought they were going to put everyone besides still haveing flood problems, drinking water problems, 4100 homes almost demolished. I wonder just how many will be fit to live in when this is all over. My parents trailer is gone so old it is falling apart. My sister's is probably the same way. My daughter's home is being stripped of the sheetrock 4 feet from the floor on the main level. There is still water in the basement and I guess as fast as it is pumped out it comes back in and if the water is all pumped out they say the walls could cave in. What next? There must be reason for all the problems we are having--natural disasters all over, Someone is missing from most of the peoples lives that is sending us a message.

Sure wish I could. Our land is so saturated that it is all running off and down the hill to the Des Lacs Lake and then down the river to Minot, which is still under water in some parts of the town.

It is dry here in Texas no rain now for several weeks

Our roads are buckling and splitting from lack of rain-started June with 7 extra inches for the year and as of tonites 11pm news we are 12 inches short We have a 40% chance of storms tomorrow and IF it happens they won't last long enough to help the crops. Our corn crops are usually 3+ft tall by now but they're not even 1ft tall-- Hoping the weatherman is wrong and we get a super-soaker.

We need it here in Oklahoma. Having to feed cattle (no grass), no wheat crop, gardens aren't producing. Reservoirs are being depleated. We are getting desperate.
