Hi All Well here in Australia it is the day after Boxing Day and we have had rain on the Darling Downs since Christmas Eve. My backyard is a temporary swimming pool.
The forecast is for more rain, and more rain - the creek is going to peak again for the second time in 7 days and flood certain parts of the town. Nothing we can do about it.

No houses have water in them but the yards may need awhile to dry out.

Anyway have a nice christmas break and happy new year

Hope you get a break soon thoughts and prayers for you

Hope you can stay dry. A great day to quilt or read a book.

I hope your rain stops soon, take care

do you realize how many people would love to sit in their home and look in the yard and see their very own swimming pool?LOL! My prayer is for clean water to drink and some sunshine to dry up your waterlogged land. God Bless from San Diego, California where we are expecting rain on Wed.

I hope it stops raining soon. In the meantime have fun quilting.

You know I have heard that quilting might make the rain stop - or did I just make that up? Hmmm, well, can't hurt to try! Seriously hope no-one has to deal with flooded homes.

hope your home stays dry on the inside and your quilting is a comfort

We just heard on the news that the floods in Qld will be the worst on record. Make sure you keep an eye on that swimming pool depth and evacute before you need rescuing. We are thinking of you all here in SA. Hope the rain stops soon. ;-)

I am just waiting to see if it is going to come in the house now - it is at my second step - nothing I can do but sit and wait and we live 2 kms from the creek - it came one way from the creek and the other from the gulley that runs between two foots fields - and yeah I was told not to worry - biggest flood since 81 I am getting told - we will be ok we have insurance - thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers

It is now Tuesday morning and the water has started to recede very slowly Ihave no damage and the car is fine - It could have been a lot worse and the probability of more water is still on the cards
