Sorry to tell you this, but studies have shown that almost all of our processed, staples... i.e. flour, pancake mixes, anything prepared in bulk for consumption has bugs and bug parts. The FDA deems a certain amount acceptable! The only way to be sure you know what you are eating and feeding your family is to grow it and process it yourself. That being said, I don't have my own flour mill.

This is just so sad and scarry....you would REALLY hope baby formula could be safe!

At least it is getting pulled off the shelves as soon as possible --I know, I helped pull it off last night and telling people to buy another type when they just got baby used to this is difficult. We pulled it as soon as the info came through to do so.

Grain weevils are not harmful to your health but not very pleasing to Americans to know they are eating them. There is no way to keep all bugs out of grain silos and mills. I would think organic grains go to the same silos and mills and have many more bugs in them then the non organic grains. The weevils are milled right in. How often are the mills checked for how many bugs are in the grain before milling? Not that often I would think.

i am sure all processed food as bits and pieces of things we would not like to think about ! BUT..this must be more than what the FDA allows.. :roll: for them to pull it.

on GMA this morning, a reporters baby got sick with an intestional thing..and the claim is, it is from the enfamil.

i watch my 2 month old grandson now that school has started, so this kind of thing is important to me and to pass on.
