Since we have a new buggy horse we thought it only right to repaint the buggy. After all we have only had it 30 years and never painted it. So Monday I sanded it all down and Tuesday I painted it. Before and after pictures. Now the buggy seat is setting sidways on the bed of the buggy. It isn't in it's proper place yet. Actually is is a buckboard type buggy. (One of a kind.)I have to reappolster the seat. Something red with fringe across the bottom of the seat...gold fringe I am thinking. And a vinyl seat covering so the weather and dirt is easier to clean off.

Very nice job!
I have moments where I wishe that I could drive a horse-drawn buggy around my town. But I wouldn't have anywhere to park the horse. :P |
That is really neat, I bet I will see quite a few when I go to the Octoberfest this weekend. There will be a lot of Mennonites there selling there quilts and pies. I really like how "old west" your buggy looks, all you need my lever action .44 and some western gear and it would be perfect.
