Does anyone have satellite radio? Do you need a special type of radio or can I stream it over my tv ? I know I can do it on my laptop , but I want quality sound . What is the cost of satellite radio ?

I get it thru Direct TV. It's part of the service. We live remote and can only get satellite TV and internet.

Thats right I used to have direct tv and there were so many music channels it was great! I didn't use it much! But it was a great feature to have!

We have Satellite radio in two trucks. My Dodge came with it and we pay 15.00 dollars a month for its service. My husband's truck had to have a satellite radio put in (I installed it) and we pay 27.00 every 3 months for his.
Dish Network has several stations as a part of it's service, as well as a bunch of other music channels.

Also with my husband's radio, I got him a docking station for his shop for Father's day.

THIS IS HIS RADIO (It's called a Stratus 6)

Go to http://www.siriusxm.com/

And check out the radios and prices.

The site says the Docking station is out of stock. But we found his on Amazon.com

So I can get the one for the car and use the dock at home. Nice. For those of you that have satellite through Direct TV , this is not a option for me. I do not have cable or satellite tv.

Yes, it's a really neat set up. The docking station came with the outside antenna you just have to have the antenna pointing south with a clear view of the sky. Installing it in the car was easy too. Just route all the wires under the dash.

My husband has an XM portable radio that we use anywhere including one car that doesn't have it...he has the adapter for the car...cost 12.99 per mth...

I had sirus in my new car and cancelled when the free yr was up and they finally contacted me several times with deals I said no too...too much...Then finally instead of 159 for the yr they offered me 77 for a yr...and I resigned.
