Scrap buster - Easy gift

Hi All,

i ran across this pattern on Pinterest. A patchwork lanyard. My boughten one is wearing out & I always like to have my scissors around my neck when I sew. These took about 15 minutes to pit together and I think they would make a great gift for another seamstress with a pair of scissors on the end...

Here are the instructions. I like this blog.

Love lanyards! If you don't want to piece them, just use one 2.5 inch strip left over from a jelly roll, or cut your own. The pieced one is prettier of course, but more work.

Great! I need one of those and have friends I could make them for also.

Awesome idea! :)

Thank you for this. My family and a friend's family go to lots of things that we use lanyards to keep our tickets around our neck so we can come and go without any problems. So many times the boys will leave their's at home and I will end up purchasing more for them. Now I can just make some and keep in the travel bag.

Thanks, they will make great gifts for quilters.

Thanks for the site info. Just what I need for my little scissors ( always LOOKING for them) I think I will put a light weight interfacing in the middle, just to give it some weight. Did you see the tute for the dimensional flowers for pins and such? So cute, I'm going to try them too! Thanks a bunch.

Now I can make something for my glasses instead of the typical 'granny chain'! Thank you!

I made one with out patchwork too, when you fold over with all the layers, I don't think interfacing is needed. The stitching on both sides also add weight. It seems as stiff as a regular lanyard. Made my non-patchwork one with a 2 inch strip. I will make some themed ones for my kids house key. So many gift ideas, teachers too.

Actually, Laurilli, I did not see the other tutes; where did you find them on her site?
